CITY OF BRAINERD MINNESOTA
Brainerd is a city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. Its population was 13,592 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Crow Wing County, and is one of northern Minnesota's largest cities. The City was incorporated on November 19, 1881. The plat showed a square, two blocks long on each side in the center of town. It was marked "Gregory Square." At the time, the president of the railroad company was John Gregory Smith.
